Senior General Ledger Accountant – Central Europe

About the role

We are looking for a General Ledger Senior Accountant to join the Central Europe team of Yara European Business Services in Lithuania. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day accounting, statutory reporting and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee day‑to‑day accounting and legal entity reporting, including internal reporting.
• Execute global accounting policies and implement internal procedures.
• Apply IFRS concepts and oversee risk controls.
• Provide advice for accounting case resolution and review colleagues’ deliverables.
• Conduct process training and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Resolve audit requests within agreed timelines.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert and key user for ERP systems.
• Represent the entity in stakeholder meetings and manage service‑level agreements.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, mathematics, statistics or a related discipline (advantage).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP, HFM and Power BI considered an advantage.
• Solid end‑to‑end process understanding of the full accounting cycle.
• Continuous improvement mindset and teamwork skills in a cross‑cultural organization.
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written); additional languages are an asset.
• Eligible to work in Lithuania.
