Senior GL Accountant

About the role

Join NKT’s global finance team in Kaunas as a Senior GL Accountant. You will lead high‑quality General Ledger processes, support compliance initiatives and contribute to the company’s green transition.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and process G/L transactions, including accruals, provisions, intercompany entries and reconciliations.
• Manage legal compliance tasks such as statutory reporting, audits and tax returns.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost quality and productivity.
• Train and supervise junior accountants, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Support the GL Team Manager with SOPs, SLAs and stakeholder coordination.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.
• 3+ years of General Ledger experience in a shared‑services or large corporate environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• SAP or similar ERP system.
• Full‑cycle accounting knowledge.
• Audit experience.
