Senior GL Accountant

About the role

Join NKT SSC in Kaunas as a Senior GL Accountant and play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy, compliance and efficiency of the General Ledger for a global organization supporting the green transition.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate period‑end activities and ensure timely, high‑quality execution of GL tasks.
• Process G/L transactions, including accruals, provisions, intercompany entries and reconciliations.
• Manage legal compliance processes such as statutory reporting, audits and tax returns.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost quality and productivity.
• Train and supervise junior accountants, promoting best practices.
• Support the manager with SOPs, SLAs and stakeholder coordination.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.
• 3+ years of general ledger experience in a shared‑services or large‑company environment.
• Solid technical accounting background with full‑cycle accounting knowledge.
• Audit experience and strong analytical attention to detail.
• Fluent English and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers.

Required skills

• SAP or similar ERP system.
• General Ledger accounting expertise.
