Senior IT Auditor - Mainframe Technology

About the role

Danske Bank is seeking an experienced Senior IT Auditor with deep knowledge of mainframe technology to join its Group Internal Audit team. You will work closely with a dedicated group of IT auditors to assess the security and resilience of critical banking systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audits of mainframe environments, covering infrastructure, operating systems, databases and applications.
• Check compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Identify risks, control weaknesses and opportunities to strengthen the control environment.
• Prepare audit documentation, reports and recommendations.
• Share audit results with stakeholders and agree on next steps.
• Help develop audit methodologies for mainframe and technology audits.

Required profile

• Experience in internal audit, external audit, technology risk, IT controls or cyber security.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe environments and relevant security tools.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical risks clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage audits from planning to reporting.
• Technical curiosity combined with a solid audit mindset.
