Senior Product Designer (Remote, Europe)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the small, senior Kimchi design team. You will work on AI‑assisted developer tools used by engineers and platform teams, shaping the product from research to shipped design while collaborating with a globally distributed engineering group.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end design problems across the Kimchi surface (CLI, desktop app, inference/spend console, developer tooling), from research through delivery and outcome measurement.
• Lead independent user‑research initiatives: plan, execute, synthesize findings, and translate them into product direction.
• Prototype directly in code when faster than mock‑ups, using AI‑assisted workflows.
• Contribute a strong point of view to product strategy, backed by usage data, research evidence, and competitor awareness.
• Participate in cross‑squad design reviews, track design debt, and prioritize it based on risk and feedback.

Required profile

• A portfolio or case study demonstrating senior‑level design work on developer tools, AI/LLM products, or data‑heavy SaaS platforms.
• Proven track record of owning research end‑to‑end and influencing product direction.
• Comfort working with AI‑assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and a hands‑on attitude toward the codebase.
• Ability to make and defend decisions under ambiguity and communicate clearly in async written format.
• Experience designing for technical, engineering‑savvy users and discussing APIs, architecture, and system constraints.
