Senior QA Automation Engineer (Mobile)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to strengthen automated testing for a banking client’s mobile applications. You will build reliable test coverage, improve automation frameworks, and collaborate with developers and product teams to deliver high‑quality mobile banking experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests for iOS and Android apps using WebdriverIO, Appium and TypeScript.
• Extend the mobile automation framework with reusable components and maintainable test code.
• Design end‑to‑end, regression and smoke tests covering critical banking journeys and edge cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, improving execution speed, stability and reporting.
• Investigate failures using device logs, API responses and debugging tools to reduce flaky tests.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and QA colleagues to prioritize coverage and assess release readiness.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation, including hands‑on testing of mobile applications.
• Strong practical experience with WebdriverIO and Appium, including framework development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in TypeScript with clean, reusable, well‑structured test code.
• Experience testing iOS and Android applications on real devices, emulators and simulators.
• Experience with REST API testing, Git and CI/CD pipelines, and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Background working in Agile teams and taking ownership of testing activities.
