Staff Data Platform Engineer

About the role

Artea Bank is building a new digital bank from scratch and needs a senior technical leader to design and run its modern data platform. As a Staff Data Platform Engineer you will shape the architecture, influence engineering practices and drive the implementation of a scalable, cloud‑native data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the entire data architecture, ingestion pipelines and orchestration from the ground up, selecting tools and technologies freely.
• Migrate and take over existing data flows currently managed by external vendors.
• Build the infrastructure that will support future conversational AI and analytics capabilities.
• Design, deploy and maintain robust, scalable cloud solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure high code quality, performance and promote best practices across the data ecosystem.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Data Engineering or DevOps.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
• Advanced programming skills in Python or comparable languages.
• Hands‑on experience with data orchestrators (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect, Mage).
• Solid experience using Git for version control and collaboration.
• Proactive, self‑starter mindset ready to own a green‑field project.
