System Engineering Team Lead

About the role

Dematic is seeking a System Engineering Team Lead based in Lithuania to head a group of System Engineering specialists focused on integrating large‑scale warehouse automation solutions. You will be instrumental in building a high‑performing team while ensuring projects align with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the System Engineering team, fostering technical excellence and continuous development.
• Conduct performance and development reviews for team members.
• Oversee recruitment, assessment, selection, onboarding and training of new engineers.
• Coordinate resource planning, project allocation and capacity forecasting using company tools.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for system integration activities when needed.
• Guide the team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required quality and performance standards.
• Ensure solutions meet contractual, functional and throughput requirements.
• Review regional sales proposals for compliance with standards, testing strategies and pre‑project requirements.
• Promote consistent application of global processes, engineering best practices and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading System Engineering or similar technical teams.
• Strong understanding of warehouse automation and system integration.
• Ability to manage resources, forecast capacity and align with regional stakeholders.
• Hands‑on technical competence to support integration tasks.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
