System Engineering Team Lead

About the role

Dematic is seeking a System Engineering Team Lead based in Lithuania to lead a team of specialists integrating warehouse automation systems. You will develop a high‑performing team while ensuring projects meet customer, contractual and delivery objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the System Engineering team, fostering technical excellence and continuous development.
• Conduct performance and development reviews, recruit new members and oversee onboarding and training.
• Coordinate resource planning, project allocation and capacity forecasting across the EMEA region.
• Provide hands‑on support for system integration activities and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Review regional sales proposals for compliance with testing strategies and pre‑project requirements.
• Promote global processes, engineering best practices and issue management using Jira.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical teams in an engineering environment with strong people‑leadership skills.
• Technical background in systems integration, automation, controls, mechatronics or related discipline.
• Experience in industrial automation is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, commercial awareness and decision‑making abilities.
• Full working proficiency in Lithuanian and English.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Jira for issue and project tracking.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
