About the role

Sallaum Logistics is seeking a male accountant to join its strategic finance team. You will work closely with the CEO and group CFO, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the company’s growth in international transport.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise, transparent, and timely financial and tax accounting in line with Lithuanian legislation.
• Prepare payroll calculations and related documentation for accounting and tax purposes.
• Organise and coordinate external audits, including document preparation and auditor communication.
• Handle transport‑specific accounting such as driver trips, working time, vehicle fleet, fuel and operating cost control.
• Manage tax obligations and VAT refunds, including foreign VAT and fuel excise reimbursements.
• Improve financial processes and systems, proposing FinTech and automation solutions.
• Analyse financial statements, budgets and KPIs, providing insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Higher education in finance, accounting or economics.
• 3–5 years experience as a senior accountant in a transport or logistics company.
• Proven experience working with external auditors.
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian tax law, IFRS/TFAS standards and EU transport regulations.
• Excellent time‑management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Experience implementing financial technologies, bank APIs and automated processes.
• Proficiency in English communication.
