Wind Measurement Technician

About the role

Join MetCom Group in Klaipėda as a Wind Measurement Technician, supporting the deployment and maintenance of LiDAR and meteorological measurement systems for renewable‑energy projects across Lithuania and Europe. The role blends office‑based technical support with hands‑on field work, ensuring reliable wind data collection for our clean‑energy clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, configure and test LiDAR and meteorological equipment before deployment.
• Support installation and commissioning of measurement systems on site.
• Install and maintain sensors, data loggers, communication gear, CCTV and remote‑monitoring devices.
• Work with off‑grid power solutions, including batteries and solar PV installations.
• Monitor deployed systems to verify continuous data reception.
• Troubleshoot equipment, power‑supply and communication faults.
• Conduct inspections, verification checks and scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain accurate equipment records, installation documentation and service reports.
• Assist with equipment preparation, stock control, packing and logistics.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers and internal teams while following health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Travel within Lithuania and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Lithuania and ability to travel within the EU/EEA.
• Practical experience installing, maintaining or troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical or telecommunications equipment.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, technical drawings and basic electrical schematics.
• Willingness to receive training on LiDAR and meteorological measurement systems.
