Lead QA Engineer

About the role

OBDeleven is looking for a Lead QA Engineer to own and evolve its automated testing strategy across mobile and web platforms. This hands‑on technical leadership position combines writing automated tests with shaping QA processes, improving feedback cycles, and raising the overall quality bar.

Key responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the automated testing approach (Appium‑based mobile automation) for both mobile and web.
• Drive, maintain, and continuously improve the existing end‑to‑end automated test suite.
• Identify opportunities to shorten test and release cycles, increase automation coverage, and accelerate quality feedback.
• Define and improve QA processes, methodologies, tooling, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to embed quality into the SDLC.
• Balance automated and manual testing, focusing on regression automation.
• Improve testability, observability, and reliability of products and test infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other QA engineers.
• Contribute to testing complex areas such as AI‑driven features when needed.
• Potentially assume people‑management responsibilities for the QA team over time.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience in QA engineering and UI test automation.
• Hands‑on experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites.
• Deep understanding of software testing principles, test strategy, and QA processes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation infrastructure.
• Proven track record of improving testing processes and automation coverage.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to influence developers and stakeholders on quality decisions.
• Proactive ownership mindset and experience mentoring QA engineers.
• Professional fluency in Lithuanian and strong spoken and written English.
