Staff CloudOps Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

As a Staff CloudOps Infrastructure Engineer you will lead the strategic migration of the company’s cloud infrastructure from Azure and AWS to Google Cloud Platform. You will shape the design and implementation of the future GCP environment, guiding critical technical decisions and ensuring efficient migration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable cloud and platform architectures with a strong focus on networking.
• Establish and maintain cloud security and compliance standards aligned with industry best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering collaboration across engineering teams.
• Lead architecture reviews to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
• Support production reliability, including participation in an on‑call rotation.
• Manage third‑party platforms throughout their lifecycle for performance, security, and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in cloud and platform infrastructure engineering, especially cloud networking and resilient architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) and cost optimisation.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities with a collaborative approach.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
