Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

Join Continental's Shared Service Center as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, supporting the finance function of a global tire leader. You will handle daily cash processing, reconciliations, and customer communications while contributing to the launch of a new shared services hub.

Key responsibilities

• Post bank statements, debtor payments, and credit card transactions.
• Process daily cash journals for multiple branches.
• Execute dunning procedures and resolve open payment claims.
• Reconcile intermediate, sub‑, and error accounts in the receivables area.
• Support audit queries and ad‑hoc reporting requests.
• Perform periodic accounting tasks such as accrual postings, KPI calculations, aging reports, and month‑end/year‑end close.
• Assist with knowledge transfer for the new Shared Service Center.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries while maintaining high customer service standards.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills in English and German (minimum B2 level).
• Experience with transition or implementation projects is a plus.

Required skills

• SAP R3 (FI & MM) proficiency.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
