Data Engineer for Data Product Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a data‑engineer who will join the Data Product Solutions squad of Danske Bank’s Data Platform Tribe. You will help design, build and improve modern data products that support business outcomes, working with technologies such as Databricks, SQL and PySpark in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance scalable data products and pipelines using modern data‑engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to translate data needs into practical solutions.
• Support data modelling, pipeline orchestration and performance optimisation.
• Apply engineering standards, documentation, data‑governance and testing to ensure reliable solutions.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python/PySpark for data manipulation and pipeline development.
• Interest in cloud and data platforms such as Databricks, AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD or unit testing is a plus.
• Basic understanding of data modelling, orchestration and data‑quality principles.
• Curiosity, problem‑solving mindset and strong English communication skills.
