Delivery Specialist

About the role

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to deliver automotive parts and products to professional customers. The role also includes handling cash on C.O.D. deliveries, collecting returns, and providing basic customer service support as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Operate store vehicles to deliver parts and products efficiently and safely.
• Use fleet‑management hand‑held devices to capture signatures, record mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform pre‑trip inspections, and ensure fuel tanks are filled.
• Secure keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, devices, and any monies collected.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and complete driver return slips.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Clock in/out according to company policy and lock vehicles at the end of the day.
• Perform additional duties such as stocking, merchandising, sweeping, running errands, handling core returns, and occasional cashier or sales assistance.

Required profile

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record that meets the company’s 14/18‑point system.
• Valid state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements.
