Head of Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Accounting to lead and further develop the accounting function across our Group companies, including the international logistics business cargoGO. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant accounting for multiple legal entities and driving consistency, efficiency and digitalisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate the accounting team, defining clear responsibilities and fostering professional growth.
• Take overall responsibility for accurate and timely accounting across all Group entities.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes and meet reporting deadlines.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards and Lithuanian legislation.
• Oversee VAT, corporate income tax and other tax reporting requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and act as main contact for auditors, tax authorities and other institutions.
• Standardise, simplify and automate accounting processes, promoting digital solutions.
• Support business growth, new entity setups, integrations and organisational changes from an accounting perspective.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Several years of senior accounting leadership experience (Head of Accounting, Accounting Manager, Lead Accountant or senior Chief Accountant).
• Proven team‑leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Strong interest in technology, digital tools and AI applied to finance.
• Fluent Lithuanian and professional English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with NAV, SAP or similar ERP systems.
