Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

BURGA is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and secure a scalable platform that supports rapid growth and frequent product launches. You will work in a fast‑paced environment alongside IT, Data, and MES teams, taking ownership of critical infrastructure components.

Key responsibilities

• Own and operate a 3‑node Proxmox virtualization cluster (VM provisioning, patching, capacity planning, storage, backups).
• Administer and evolve the production Kubernetes platform on Talos Linux with Cilium CNI/eBPF for MES and Data workloads.
• Manage the GitOps delivery pipeline using ArgoCD, Helm, Azure DevOps repositories, and Azure Container Registry.
• Maintain platform services such as cert‑manager, Traefik, External Secrets Operator, HashiCorp Vault, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ and Valkey.
• Oversee network and security infrastructure (FortiGate firewalls, routing, VLANs, TLS termination, nginx, Kubernetes ingress).
• Lead monitoring and observability across Proxmox and Kubernetes with Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana and Alertmanager.
• Implement backup and disaster‑recovery processes using Proxmox Backup Server, Velero and pgBackRest, including regular restore tests.
• Migrate ~16 Docker‑Compose services from VMs to the production Kubernetes cluster.
• Manage secret lifecycles across Vault, External Secrets Operator and Google Cloud Secret Manager.
• Act as escalation point for infrastructure incidents, driving root‑cause analysis, post‑mortems and run‑book documentation.
• Partner with Data and MES teams on capacity planning, network architecture and infrastructure requirements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Linux‑based virtualization and container platforms.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to lead migrations and incident response.
• Collaborative mindset to work closely with cross‑functional teams.
