Java Software Developer – Customer Engagement Solutions

About the role

SEB is seeking a Java Software Developer to join its Customer Engagement Solutions team in Vilnius. You will help design, build, and maintain digital servicing solutions that support both SEB employees and clients, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve team‑owned applications and integrations.
• Translate business and technical requirements into practical software solutions.
• Write and maintain automated tests while contributing to overall code quality.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, analysts, testers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in technical decisions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on professional experience developing backend applications with Java.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Proven ability to design and develop REST APIs, integrations, or middleware.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Good understanding of clean code and secure software development practices.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently and take ownership of work.
• Fluency in English for effective collaboration across the Baltics.
