Java Software Engineer – Anti-Financial Crime & Compliance

About the role

Join Luminor's Anti-Financial Crime & Compliance team as a Java Software Engineer. You will design and build cloud‑native solutions that support the bank’s fight against financial crime while working in a fast‑moving, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect cloud‑native software components.
• Develop and maintain complex Java applications following IT standards.
• Ensure performance, quality, and maintainability of the codebase.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best‑practice coding standards.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and system analysis.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Java 21+ and frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot 3.0+, and Spring WebFlux.
• Proficiency with build and CI tools like Maven, Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka, S3 file processing, and asynchronous flow handling.
• Familiarity with XML parsing, transformation, and validation.
• Ability to address technical debt, write clean code, and automate tests.
• Experience drafting technical specifications and data models.
• Good knowledge of event‑driven architecture.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
