QA Team Lead

About the role

Orbio World is looking for a QA Team Lead to own the quality strategy for its global e‑commerce platform. You will guide a growing QA team, embed AI‑assisted testing, and ensure that critical flows such as checkout, payments and integrations are released with minimal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Define, own and continuously improve the QA strategy, processes, standards and tooling.
• Lead, mentor and develop the QA team, fostering a culture of shared quality ownership.
• Build a risk‑based testing approach for business‑critical areas (checkout, payments, funnels, integrations, new brand launches).
• Design and evolve the test automation strategy to increase coverage while reducing manual effort.
• Drive AI‑first quality assurance by identifying automation opportunities with AI for requirements analysis, test generation, regression optimisation and defect analysis.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to spot quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Define meaningful quality metrics and KPIs, analyse production incidents and turn learnings into process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a QA team and owning QA processes.
• Strong understanding of both manual and automated testing.
• Experience building or leading a test automation strategy.
• Deep knowledge of web, API, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Ability to decide what should be automated to maximise business value.
• Experience with modern QA tools and CI/CD environments.
• Strong interest in practical AI applications within software testing.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with a fast‑moving, frequent‑release environment.
