Accountant – AP & General Accounting

About the role

Join Nayax Europe’s finance team as an Accountant. You will work in a regulated, global environment handling accounts‑payable, bank reconciliations and month‑end activities while supporting the finance manager on ad‑hoc projects.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, ensure proper approval, apply VAT and corporate tax rules, and execute timely payments.
• Conduct periodic AP ageing reviews, resolve vendor queries and prepare VAT‑related reports.
• Perform regular bank uploads, reconcile transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare accruals, provisions, GL adjustments and journal entries.
• Support vendor, inter‑company and other monetary transfers.
• Assist with audits, non‑routine finance activities and internal‑control improvements.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and Lithuanian VAT accounting.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable.
• Higher education in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
• Full professional proficiency in Lithuanian and English.
• Proactive, reliable and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP.
