Accounting Specialist – 3-5 Years Experience

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team in Vilnius. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring GAAP compliance, and supporting timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and liaise with auditors as needed.
• Maintain accounting records using established systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Monitor and implement internal controls to protect company assets.
• Continuously improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with financial reporting software.
• Experience using reconciliation tools and audit management software.
