Head of Finance – Immediate Joiner

About the role

SONECT is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead its financial operations and ensure regulatory compliance within its fast‑growing electronic money ecosystem. The role requires immediate availability and will be pivotal in shaping the company’s accounting, reporting and capital management strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s accounting, financial management and internal control strategy.
• Organise and oversee the accounting function, ensuring accurate entries and reliable financial information.
• Monitor and optimise financial activities, cash flow and capital adequacy on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and submit financial, supervisory, internal accounting and tax reports to authorities within legal deadlines.
• Conduct GAP analyses, assess regulatory requirements and recommend improvements.
• Lead budget planning, three‑year financial forecasts (baseline and stress scenarios) and financial analysis of turnover, profitability and cost management.
• Co‑operate with external auditors, manage audits and provide quarterly recommendations to the Management Board.
• Provide financial proposals to the CEO and shareholders and advise employees on financial matters.

Required profile

• Higher education degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field.
• At least 3 years of corporate financial management experience, preferably within an electronic money institution.
• Proven management experience and ability to lead finance teams.
• Knowledge of Lithuanian and EU legislation governing financial market participants.
• Understanding of IT systems used in financial services.
