Android Engineer – Build Systems & Developer Tools

About the role

Vinted is looking for an Android Engineer to join its Android Technologies team. You will help shape the core Android platform that powers Vinted’s marketplace, enabling product engineers to ship high‑performance features quickly and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core Android architecture, shared libraries, and developer tooling.
• Provide developer‑experience solutions that empower other Android engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, snapshot, and UI tests.
• Work with Android, Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform and related technologies to improve platform stability and scalability.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn new technologies and concepts.
• Ability to work alongside senior, knowledgeable engineers.
• Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals and Android‑specific principles.
• Familiarity with future‑proof software architecture, design patterns, Android architecture components, and Kotlin coroutines.
• Capability to evaluate trade‑offs and make sound technical decisions.
