Cybersecurity Engineering Internship – Vilnius

About the role

CENSUS, a cybersecurity firm offering IT and OT security solutions to companies such as Fortune 500 firms, financial institutions and critical infrastructure operators, offers a 6-month paid cybersecurity engineering internship in Vilnius. It starts in January 2027 on a full-time basis (8 hours per day) with a hybrid model, including on-site presence in Vilnius during the first months.

Key responsibilities

• Work on high-profile cybersecurity projects with hands-on training and real-world exposure.
• Learn from cybersecurity experts through mentorship.
• Get familiar with the latest hacking techniques, tools and security frameworks.
• Work with a global team to protect applications, networks and organizations.

Required profile

• Final-year B.Sc. students, M.Sc. and PhD students, and graduates in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or related fields.
• Self-taught hackers with cybersecurity experience are also welcome.
• A curious, analytical mindset eager to learn and improve.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of software security and operating system fundamentals.
• Experience with at least one programming language.
• Basic knowledge of networking and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting code.
• Bonus: a specific cybersecurity interest (hardware security, AI security, IoT), web or mobile app security testing, tools such as Burp Suite, Frida and Ghidra, reverse engineering, exploit development, fuzzing or vulnerability research, and published work such as blog posts, CVEs or whitepapers.
