Android Engineer – Junior to Mid Level

About the role

Join the team behind the world’s most advanced VPN and help shape the future of online privacy. As an Android Engineer you will work on NordVPN’s Android app, collaborating with backend, web and low‑level teams to deliver new features and improve existing ones.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the NordVPN Android application using Kotlin and modern Android architectures.
• Integrate with existing REST APIs and provide feedback on mobile‑specific requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA and support teams to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Debug and resolve issues reported by users and internal testing.
• Write unit and UI tests to guarantee code reliability.
• Stay current with Android ecosystem trends, tools and best practices.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional Android development experience.
• Strong command of Kotlin and Android Studio.
• Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, Room/SQLite and reactive programming (Coroutines or RxJava).
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Hilt, and Android APIs/SDK.
• Ability to work with large codebases and debug complex issues.
