About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Biotechnologist to join the buffer, solution and bulk manufacturing team in Vilnius. The role offers the chance to work independently in a clean‑room environment, producing high‑quality biotechnological products while coordinating daily production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manufacture buffers, solutions and bulk products according to validated documentation.
• Perform product labeling, marking and required measurements.
• Coordinate daily production tasks, set priorities and ensure on‑time order fulfillment.
• Verify and approve production protocols and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Manage inventory of raw materials, reagents and consumables, including stock counts and write‑offs.
• Order necessary materials and maintain laboratory and production equipment, coordinating maintenance and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot production issues, address non‑conformities and support customer complaint analysis.
• Participate in root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Initiate and drive process improvements and efficiency projects.
• Conduct experiments, analyse results and propose enhancements for quality and productivity.
• Train and mentor junior team members and ensure laboratory cleanliness and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering, biotechnology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory, production, quality control or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory methods and equipment operation.
• Good computer literacy for documentation and inventory systems.
