About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Biotechnologist to join its Vilnius site, focusing on the manufacturing and testing of qPCR‑based products for diagnostics and research. The role combines hands‑on laboratory work with support for production processes and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the production and testing of qPCR products.
• Perform analytical and functional tests, record and interpret results.
• Prepare reagents and execute laboratory procedures according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation to meet quality requirements.
• Operate, maintain, and perform routine checks on laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and cross‑functional teams to ensure high standards.
• Contribute to process improvement and problem‑solving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO and other quality standards.

Required profile

• University degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, biology, genetics, molecular biology, chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of practical laboratory experience in biotechnology or life sciences.
• Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP, ISO or similar).
• Strong attention to detail, responsibility and quality orientation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Lithuanian and English.
