Cloud Security Engineer – Specialist

About the role

As a Cloud Security Engineer you will protect and strengthen Nasdaq’s enterprise cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms, embedding security into every layer from identity management to threat detection and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI environments.
• Monitor cloud platforms for threats, misconfigurations, and policy violations using SIEM and Cloud Security Posture Management tools.
• Create and enforce cloud security standards, policies, and guardrails to support compliance and risk reduction.
• Partner with DevOps and engineering teams across time zones to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct cloud security assessments, vulnerability management, and produce documentation and metrics for technical and executive audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with security services in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM procedures, and infrastructure‑as‑code security (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Clear communicator with experience in collaborative, multi‑functional environments and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Familiarity with AI tooling for daily work assistance and workflow integration.
