Data Engineer

About the role

Twoday is seeking a Data Engineer to design and develop modern data engineering solutions for leading organisations across the Nordics. You will work with cutting‑edge cloud data platforms and analytics services to build scalable pipelines and lakehouse architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data integration and transformation pipelines on cloud‑native platforms.
• Apply data modelling and governance best practices to deliver reliable analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Optimize pipeline and platform performance for scalability and reliability.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing and agile team activities.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and integrate relevant innovations.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing or BI development.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands‑on data transformation.
• Experience with cloud‑native data platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Familiarity with data integration/orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow or dbt.
• Understanding of modern data modelling concepts (Medallion architecture, lakehouse design, Star Schema, Data Vault).
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English and Lithuanian.
