About the role
You will work with organisations across various sectors, including the public sector, to put personal data protection requirements into practice and ensure GDPR compliance. With the right experience you can independently perform external Data Protection Officer functions for assigned client organisations. Candidates with limited experience will develop competencies alongside senior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Advising clients on personal data protection and the application of the GDPR.
- Analyzing data processing operations and assessing their compliance with legal requirements.
- Preparing, reviewing, and updating data‑protection documentation.
- Participating in data‑protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and GDPR compliance audits.
- Advising on lawful bases for processing, retention periods, and exercising data‑subjects' rights.
- Reviewing contracts and other documents related to personal data processing.
- Providing guidance on personal data breaches and practical data‑protection matters.
- Collaborating with clients' legal, IT, information‑security, HR, marketing and other specialists.
Required profile
- A higher‑education degree (a law degree is an advantage).
- Practical experience in legal work and ability to analyse companies' processes, documentation, legislation and contracts.
- Capability to formulate clear legal conclusions and recommendations.
- Skill in explaining legal requirements to clients in an accessible way.
- Willingness to engage with organisational and technological aspects of data processing.
- Ability to organise work independently and handle multiple tasks or clients simultaneously.
- Excellent command of Lithuanian and a very good command of English, both spoken and written.
