Database Administrator – Production & High Availability

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our infrastructure team, managing and optimizing production databases (MySQL, MariaDB, ClickHouse) that power leading iGaming platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain production database environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot replication processes to keep replicas synchronized with minimal lag.
• Analyse database performance, investigate slow queries, optimise indexing, and use monitoring tools to resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain backup and recovery procedures, execute restores, and ensure business continuity.
• Deploy and manage database instances, configure user access, and support infrastructure growth.
• Support and optimise modern platforms such as ClickHouse and MariaDB, contributing to scalability and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience administering relational databases in production.
• Strong experience with MySQL replication, binary log handling and performance troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of query optimisation, slow‑log analysis and indexing strategies.
• Experience designing, maintaining and executing backup and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with monitoring database health and replication status in high‑availability environments.
• Experience administering ClickHouse environments and knowledge of its architecture.
