Engineering Manager

SearchApi is looking for an Engineering Manager to own end‑to‑end delivery, allowing the founder to focus on strategy. You will run planning cadences, track active projects, surface risks early and act as the first escalation point when incidents occur. The role emphasizes clear written communication, data‑driven decision making and lightweight processes powered by AI.

Key responsibilities include running stand‑ups, retrospectives and planning sessions, maintaining delivery metrics such as cycle time and review latency, coordinating incident response and blameless post‑mortems, and growing the engineering team through 1:1 coaching and high‑bar hiring. You will not be expected to write most of the code but to ensure the team ships high‑quality features on time.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of improving delivery processes, managing small high‑output engineering teams, and handling incident command. You are comfortable working with GitHub and Notion, use AI tools to streamline work while understanding their limits, and can write clear, concise documentation. Strong written English, calmness under pressure and a self‑directed attitude are essential.
