General Counsel – Employment Law

About the role

Nasdaq is looking for an experienced employment lawyer to join its legal team as General Counsel – Employment Law. Based in Vilnius with a hybrid schedule, you will provide strategic counsel on employment matters across Europe and the Middle East, supporting HR and business leaders to maintain a compliant, high‑performing workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on employment law issues in 23 jurisdictions, working with local counsel and monitoring legislative changes.
• Lead or support internal investigations into harassment, discrimination and code‑of‑conduct violations.
• Manage employment‑related litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings.
• Draft and review policies, handbooks and codes of conduct to ensure legal compliance.
• Provide employment‑law input on corporate transactions, due diligence and integration planning.
• Partner with HR on initiatives such as AI‑driven employment practices, pay transparency and organisational change.
• Develop and deliver training on employment‑law topics for HR and management teams.

Required profile

• Attorney licensed to practice in an EU member state.
• 6–10 years of post‑qualified experience in employment law, preferably a mix of private practice and in‑house roles.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑border legal matters and employment disputes.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, employee and labour relations.
