Head of Group Risk – Lead Risk Management Across the Group

About the role

Ignitis Group is seeking a Head of Group Risk to steer the company’s risk management strategy across all business units. You will be responsible for overseeing market (commodity), liquidity, regulatory, operational, credit and sustainability risks, with a special focus on commodity market exposures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a group‑wide risk management strategy aligned with overall corporate objectives.
• Design policies, procedures, methodologies and risk registers for continuous risk oversight.
• Lead identification, measurement, management and communication of risks across the organisation.
• Maintain and update market (commodity) risk frameworks, including hedging positions and exposure reporting.
• Prepare risk reports, recommendations and presentations for senior leadership and board committees.
• Consolidate risk data into a single clear format with breakdowns by business unit and country.
• Collaborate with business units, functions, country teams and supervisory bodies.
• Build, lead and develop a professional risk team and manage external consultants and auditors.

Required profile

• 5+ years of management experience in large organisations.
• 5+ years in risk management within finance, insurance, energy trading or similar sectors.
• Strong leadership, communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven analytical and strategic thinking with the capacity to interpret complex data.
• Fluent English.
