IT Administrator (Linux)

About the role

We are looking for an IT Administrator (Linux) to join our Technology team. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the organization’s Linux infrastructure, supporting critical systems across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the organization’s Linux servers and critical IT systems.
• Ensure high reliability, availability, and performance of the Linux infrastructure.
• Execute operating system and software updates, patching, and version management.
• Perform network configuration at the server level and ensure secure connectivity.
• Implement, maintain, and optimise cybersecurity and access‑control measures in Linux environments.
• Automate daily tasks and system provisioning using Ansible or other automation tools.
• Supervise backup creation and data recovery processes.
• Monitor system operations, identify issues, and promptly resolve incidents.
• Prepare, update, and manage IT infrastructure documentation.
• Collaborate with external vendors, other IT teams, and internal staff.
• Participate actively in infrastructure and cybersecurity projects.

Required profile

• Practical experience in Linux server administration (RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
• Knowledge of network architecture and configuration (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience with Linux OS update management, system hardening, and access control.
• Ability to analyse complex issues, make decisions, and work independently.
• Responsibility, initiative, teamwork skills and a desire to continuously learn.
• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is an advantage.
