About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a junior biotechnologist to join its Vilnius laboratory. The role focuses on the manufacturing and testing of qPCR‑based diagnostic products, supporting both research and clinical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the production and quality testing of qPCR products.
• Perform analytical and functional assays and interpret results.
• Prepare reagents and execute laboratory procedures following SOPs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with GMP/ISO standards.
• Operate, service and conduct routine checks on laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and cross‑functional teams to improve processes.

Required profile

• University degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, bioengineering or related field.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience in biotechnology or life‑science environments.
• Attention to detail, responsibility and a strong focus on quality.
• Good communication skills in Lithuanian and English.
• Proficiency with standard computer tools (MS Office, data‑management systems).
