Junior E-commerce Developer

About the role

Wire Salad is looking for a Junior E‑commerce Developer to help build and maintain the digital storefronts that connect millions of users to our fast‑growing consumer brands. You will work across our custom CMS (Strapi) and Shopify, turning vague ideas into live, reliable features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain storefront templates, components, landing pages and front‑end code on Strapi and Shopify.
• Take changes from concept through review, merge and production deployment, using AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.
• Build integrations with analytics, marketing suites and third‑party APIs to ensure seamless data flow.
• Automate repetitive tasks by creating internal tooling such as publishing pipelines, localization helpers and bulk‑operation utilities.
• Own end‑to‑end problem solving, diagnosing performance or reliability issues and delivering fixes without a detailed spec.

Required profile

• Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with a solid grasp of APIs and HTTP.
• Comfortable working with Git, pull requests and resolving merge conflicts.
• Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and an opinion on their best use cases.
• Analytical mindset: can read logs, form hypotheses and test solutions.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
