Lead React Developer

About the role

Telia is seeking a Lead React Developer to drive the creation of high‑performance TV and web applications for its Telia Play platform. You will work in a fast‑paced streaming environment, shaping the user experience for hundreds of thousands of users across multiple devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable TV and web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of seven React developers, conducting regular 1‑to‑1s and fostering a culture of ownership.
• Distribute tasks effectively to avoid bottlenecks and ensure balanced workloads.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver responsive, reliable streaming experiences.
• Optimize performance for high‑load, cross‑platform TV applications and continuously improve existing solutions.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset with a focus on performance and quality.
• Proven leadership and people‑management skills, able to mentor and challenge engineers constructively.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and share knowledge.
• Fluency in English.
