About the role

Ignitis Group is looking for a Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join its Technological Equipment Maintenance team. You will be responsible for the operation, upkeep and repair of key mechanical assets in thermal power plants.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the installation and acceptance of thermal energy engineering equipment, documenting non‑conformities and defects.
• Maintain and, when necessary, repair mechanical components of power‑plant installations such as steam boilers, steam turbines, pressure vessels, pipelines, fuel sorting and transport equipment, and other mechanical processing devices.
• Monitor and control contractors performing mechanical repair work.
• Organise procurement of services and materials required for maintenance and operation.
• Lead a team of fitters responsible for maintenance tasks and defect removal.

Required profile

• Higher education in energy or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum two years of experience operating industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong understanding of power‑plant operation principles.
• Basic English proficiency and ability to read technical documentation.
• Adaptability, curiosity and quick learning of new equipment.
