About the role

Diena Media News is looking for a motivated News Editor to join its editorial team in Kaunas. You will be responsible for monitoring, selecting, preparing and publishing both Lithuanian and international news on the company’s digital portals.

Key responsibilities

• Track and curate news from Lithuania and abroad.
• Write, edit and publish news items and articles for the online platforms kaunodiena.lt, kl.lt and diena.lt.
• Produce independent news stories and feature articles.
• Collaborate with journalists, photographers and designers to ensure timely content delivery.
• Maintain a balance between on‑site work and remote contributions.

Required profile

• Strong background in journalism, news writing or content editing.
• Interest in current events both locally and internationally.
• Excellent written and spoken Lithuanian.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Good computer literacy and basic knowledge of social‑media tools.
