QA Performance Engineer – IoT

About the role

We are looking for a QA Performance Engineer to join the IoT platform team, focusing on performance testing of the middleware service layer that powers connected home devices. You will work with JMeter, developers and DevOps to ensure the backend, APIs and micro‑services meet reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain JMeter test scripts for load, stress and soak testing of backend services, REST APIs and micro‑services.
• Execute performance tests, analyse results, prepare reports and collaborate with developers and DevOps to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Extend the performance testing framework with reusable components, test data sets and new scenarios.
• Use observability tools such as Grafana and Datadog to review dashboards, logs and support root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in QA (manual or automation) with basic understanding of performance testing concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with JMeter, including test plan creation, recording, parameterisation and assertions.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes and JSON payloads.
• Basic programming skills in Java and ability to read system metrics and dashboards.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and good communication skills.
