Quality Assurance Engineer, Big Data

About the role

At Adform, data powers every client interaction, and the Big Data reporting platform turns raw data into actionable insights. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to own the quality of this platform end‑to‑end, from data ingestion through transformations to the final reporting output.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute and document test cases for both pre‑production and production environments.
• Prepare test data, run scripts, and verify reporting and analytics results.
• Validate data consistency and transformations across Hadoop, Vertica, and Kafka layers.
• Own end‑to‑end test plans, coordinate validation checkpoints and provide final sign‑off.
• Contribute to automated data‑consistency test frameworks and introduce AI‑supported testing efficiencies.
• Represent quality requirements during backlog refinement and scope planning.
• Produce structured test evidence for compliance‑sensitive features such as GDPR anonymisation.
• Coordinate testing with backend teams that lack dedicated QA functions.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience as a QA/Test Engineer, preferably with data‑heavy systems.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience designing and executing test cases with strong documentation habits.
• Solid understanding of database systems and confident SQL usage.
• Ability to coordinate testing across multiple teams and keep releases on track.
• Working knowledge of big‑data tools (Vertica, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Python scripting).
• Curiosity about automation and AI‑driven testing improvements.
• Alignment with Adform’s guiding principles (client value, ownership, collaboration, etc.).
