Senior Financial Data Analyst

About the role

Moody's is hiring a Senior Financial Data Analyst in Vilnius, Lithuania, within its Analytic Data Operations team. The analyst contributes to the financial analysis part of the rating process for financial institutions, supplying accurate, consistent and timely financial data in line with Moody's rating methodology. The team supports analysts across banking, insurance, corporate finance, sovereign, public finance and structured finance lines of business.

Key responsibilities

• Support analysts by delivering accurate, timely and consistent financial data for banks, financial companies, securities firms, asset managers and insurers
• Review financial statements, official statements and other issuer documents together with analysts and accounting specialists
• Analyse financial statements, adjust issuer-reported data according to methodology requirements and review and analyse ratios
• Create documentation and give guidance to analysts and outsourcers
• Review, adjust and publish data used by analytical teams and external market participants
• Contribute to and lead senior technology projects, accounting changes, analytic reviews, methodology updates and process improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree; Accounting, Finance or Economics specialisation highly desirable
• Experience in credit and/or financial analysis is desirable
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage several priorities and adapt to changing demands

Required skills

• Financial accounting and analysis of financial statements, including reviewing and adjusting issuer-reported data
• Strong English and French or German; another European language is an advantage
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts and hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows

What we offer

• Annual base salary gross of EUR 26,700 to EUR 42,700, depending on qualifications and skills
