Senior Mechanical Engineer HVAC

About the role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at MEPCO you will lead the design and delivery of high‑performance building services—including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection—across commercial, healthcare, life‑science, industrial and data‑centre projects. You will be hands‑on throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through construction to client handover, while mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical services design (HVAC, plumbing, heating, cooling, fire protection) from concept to construction and handover.
• Develop and enforce MEPCO and Ethos mechanical design standards, promoting innovative, energy‑efficient and sustainable solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering calculations, system coordination and detailed tender packages.
• Conduct design and installation quality checks in line with Lithuanian regulations and European standards.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing Engineer in the building services sector.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian Building Regulations and European standards; familiarity with ASHRAE, CIBSE, LEED/BREEAM is a plus.
• Experience on data‑centre, commercial, industrial, high‑tech, healthcare or life‑science projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit MEP.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of HVAC calculation, thermal analysis or energy modelling software.
