Senior Software Engineer (Node/TypeScript)

About the role

Architus, a recruitment firm connecting UK and US businesses with EU engineering talent, is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer (Node/TypeScript) in Kaunas for a UK energy company building a major presence in Lithuania. The company is expanding, offers many professional development opportunities and works on greenfield target-state technology for over 4 million customers. You will join an autonomous Product team within a Fintech domain covering Energy Trading, Payments and Exports, working with teammates in Lithuania and colleagues in the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Help build API-first services that form part of a new target architecture.
• Contribute to the design, build and scaling of customer products and services, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams.
• Work in an agile environment to achieve common team objectives.

Required profile

• Backend engineering experience is essential.
• Knowledge of TypeScript and Node.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and technologies, including microservices, containers, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Passion for product and user experience, strong commercial thinking, attention to detail with a focus on security, and excellent written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) is beneficial.
