Structural / Bridge Designer (f/m/d)

About the role

We are seeking a Structural / Bridge Designer to join our engineering team in Vilnius, Lithuania. The role focuses on the design, analysis and supervision of railway bridge structures for Deutsche Bahn’s global projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed structural designs for railway bridges in collaboration with engineers and architects.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and regulations for railway infrastructure.
• Perform structural analyses using appropriate software to assess load‑bearing capacity, stability and seismic considerations.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications, maintaining accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide on‑site supervision during construction, conduct inspections and resolve design‑related issues.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, civil engineers, surveyors and contractors, to integrate designs into overall project plans.
• Implement quality assurance measures and review design submissions from consultants and contractors.
