Technical Lead – Digital Services & Channels Platform

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Lead to drive the evolution of our Digital Services & Channels platform. Based in Vilnius, you will guide multiple engineering teams, shaping architecture, reliability and performance of large‑scale backend systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical architecture of the platform, ensuring scalability, resilience and maintainability.
• Lead architectural decisions and guide long‑term platform evolution across several teams.
• Tackle complex production and performance challenges, improving reliability, observability, security and developer experience.
• Partner with engineering teams to reduce technical debt and simplify existing systems.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical discussions and hands‑on collaboration.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering Managers to balance technical sustainability with business delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience building, modernising and operating distributed backend systems, preferably within the Java ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, performance, observability and cloud‑native architectures.
• Track record of influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
• Ability to make pragmatic technical trade‑offs and deliver simple, maintainable software.
• Passion for mentoring and helping others improve their engineering practices.
