Presales Engineer, Splunk Baltics

About the role

Splunk, a Cisco company, is hiring a Presales Engineer (also called Splunk Solutions Engineer) for its fast-growing business in the Baltics, based in Vilnius, Lithuania or Riga, Latvia. The role owns the technical elements of the sales cycle for medium to large and complex customers, builds trust with customers and sales colleagues, and acts as an ambassador for Splunk at events and online.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinars, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows.
• Build strong relationships with customers at all levels throughout the sales cycle.
• Travel to prospects and customers and carry out onsite customer work when required.
• Answer complex technical and competitive questions and turn customer concerns into successful outcomes.
• Work with multiple Account Managers to run discovery calls, evaluate prospects and identify the most promising next steps.
• Help customers understand how Splunk solves their challenges and become Splunk champions.

Required profile

• Based in Vilnius or Riga and fluent in English.
• Curious, customer-focused, technically astute, confident, business-savvy and collaborative.
• Experience discovering customer pain points and determining value.

Required skills

• IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, application delivery, business analytics, log management, observability and IT security.
• ITSM tools and ITIL processes (incident, problem, change).
• Monitoring and observability tools, including APM and SIEM across logs, metrics and traces.
• Modern application architectures such as microservices, Kubernetes, Docker and serverless.
• DevOps concepts and software development with languages such as Java, Python, PHP.NET, Ruby, JavaScript or Go.

What we offer

• Starting salary range of EUR 65,200 to EUR 82,400, depending on location, experience and qualifications.
• For sales plans, performance-based incentive pay on top of base salary.
